The K-pop group is always surprising, and this time was no exception. On August 1st at midnight (Korean Standard Time), the K-pop group Enhypen released their music video “Brought the Heat Back”. This is the fifth track from their second studio album “Romance: Untold” which was released on July 12th by Hybe Labels. The album set a pre-order record of over 2.2 million sales and debuted at number two on the U.S. Billboard chart.
This new music video was directed by 2eehyein and produced by NEWYEAR. The video has a strong vibe that matches the vampire concept they’ve had since their debut. We see them with fangs, scratches, bright eyes, and various props such as coffins and race cars. The lyrics of the song are about jealousy and the different emotions it can evoke in a person.

The video uses a palette of reds, oranges, and some blues to reference temperature differences, and the acting of each member shows the madness that jealousy can cause. First, because they don’t want anyone close to their love interest, and second, because they hate the feeling of jealousy itself. As the song says in the English translation: “I’ve never felt this before, I can’t hide it, my head is spinning, crazy”.

“Romance: Untold” concludes the previous “Blood” series and begins the “Romance” series in the band’s discography. The members mentioned in an interview with Nylon that this marks the beginning of their soft era, something new for them. This is evident in the lyrics of the songs, the photo concepts, and even their outfits.
This is just one of the many activities the group has been involved in, with more to come! In May, the band released the special album “Memorabilia” – part of the webtoon series “Dark Moon” ―which debuted at number two on the Billboard Japan Top Album Sales chart with 29,714 units sold―. Last weekend, they performed at KCON LA 2024 in the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, showcasing their stage presence and strong performance skills. Additionally, they have been on tour since 2023 with “The Fate Plus,” visiting six different cities across the U.S. and Asia, with Jakarta as their next destination.
